Computed Tomography on a Truck? Is it possible? Labor Equipamentos Rodoviários

Mobile Health Unit with Tomograph was built from a monoblock trailer.

Labor Equipamentos Rodoviários innovates in mobile health care in a Mercedes-Benz project with Albert Einstein Hospital. We transformed our monoblock truck into an exclusive Mobile Unit of Tomography with 2 lateral openings, internal area of approximately 100 square meters and other innovations that only a manufacturer of weight in the sector of implements such as Labor could conceive.

Mobile Health Unit Tomography - The Tomography Mobile Unit was developed by Labor for the free health care project for the Mercedes-Benz do Brasil truck drivers, together with the Israelita Albert Einstein Hospital, which travels through several states of the country. With 15.6 meters length and built from a monoblock trailer without axles, this mobile unit is divided in hospital rooms (Tomography, Reception, Telemedicine, General Clinic, Collection, Ophthalmology), with analysis laboratory and bathroom.

The automated openings enable large lateral advances on both sides by means of a button in a matter of seconds. The large trunk at the bottom can be used to transport parts, air conditioning equipment, condensers, and more.

A Labor's pneumatic suspension and monoblock system make it possible to precisely anchor sensitive equipment such as a tomograph to the mobile unitfor example, besides guaranteeing greater security and stability during transportation. All the environments are air-conditioned and have thermal insulation via sustainable technology with a PET bottle blanket.

To build the thermal and acoustic insulation blanket for this truck, more than 10 thousand PET bottles were removed from the environment, contributing to sustainable development. The Mobile Unit also has an advanced IT system with increased mobile internet capacity to support the sending of images from the CT scanner to the hospital.

The highlight is the complete and modern 160-channel CT scanner, which can be operated remotely at Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo. To get an idea of the technology on board this mobile unit, the cameras are positioned on the patient inside the equipment and controlled by robots in the hospital.

Furthermore, this Mobile Health Unit developed by Labor meets the main standard for healthcare projects, the RDC 50. It also has an Accessibility Platform for wheelchair users and PCDs (People with Disabilities).
