Labor closes 2024 with an important milestone for its exclusive Mobile Itinerant Service Unit of the Federal District Public Defender's Office. For the first time, the three-story truck was presented at an international event.

The Mobile Itinerant Service Unit was parked on display in front of the Ministry of Justice in Brasilia and was simultaneously broadcast to 37 countries during the Expert Group Meeting. Held on December 12, the international event on Equal Access to Justice for All was promoted in partnership with the UN (United Nations).

According to the DF Public Defender's Office, the aim was to present the services offered by the institution's mobile unit to the event's participants, including representatives from 37 countries and regions. The Mobile Unit works on different fronts: from prisons, checking on the situation of inmates, to schools, with students and parents in order to guarantee a welcome for the entire population.

For the Public Defender General, Celestino Chupel, "the DPDF truck is a symbol of inclusion and accessibility, especially in places where access to legal services is limited, standing out as a practical solution to strengthen human rights". For the Public Defender and head of the Itinerant Legal Assistance Unit, Rodrigo Duzsinski, "with this itinerant service, the institution universalizes access to justice for people who live in all parts of the territory, in the countryside and in the city".

A Mobile Care Truck is made from Labor's unique three-storey semi-trailer with lower, middle and upper floors. The equipment has 13 service counters, reception, technical area, complete pantry, reserved room, PCD bathroom, structural aluminum flooring and all the structure for service (external power supply, air conditioning, generator set, TV for the public, etc.).

With democratized access, the mobile unit also innovates with its exclusive individual pneumatic suspension (without an axle connecting the wheels) and is only 4 cm off the ground at the time of service, dispensing with the use of an external ladder and promoting access for people with walking difficulties such as the elderly, obese, hypertensive patients, pregnant women, etc. What's more: 30 cm in circulation and can go up to 39 cm to overcome obstacles on the road.

It also has a universal system capable of coupling all types of mechanical horse on the market, as well as vertical expansion (roof that rises), and a stage door (5.80m forward room). At the front of the trailer, an extra area holds the condensers for the air conditioning system and generator set, ensuring their safety.
